Contest Entry: Man-Portable Railgun

My contest entry for the #Fictional-Firearms man-portable railgun contest. The requirements are as shown below:

must be between 3 1/2-5 feet long
It is about 4 feet long.

must have RIS or other means of attaching hardware to the top and bottom
I added a sight on the top, as well as an underslung rail system for mounting a laser rangefinder, a flashlight or some other tactical accessory.

must be powered by a high-octane battery that you may use a RL one, or make one yourself
The battery, along with the high-voltage transformer circuitry, mounted in the stock. The battery can be disengaged by depressing a lever on the left side of the weapon, much like changing a magazine.

must have an effective range of at least 750 meters
Being a sniper-type weapon, this gun has an optimum range of 900 meters and a maximum range of 1.05 kilometers

must have an optional power output
There is a power setting knob and two programmable buttons, located on the left side of the gun above the trigger guard. These controls can adjust the power and thus, change the velocity of the fired projectiles. The higher the velocity, the more battery power is used up.

must use a box magazine of at least 20 rounds
This weapon uses a box mag that can hold 25 rounds.

you may use standard, Bull-Pup, or sideloading formats, no Bren-style toploaders
The magazine is in a standard format, located in front of the trigger guard.

must have multiple available round types
There are two main types of rounds that are popular to use with this gun: KE solid slug penetrator, and HE (high explosive.) The former is a solid, depleted-uranium slug optimized for use with higher muzzle velocity settings, while the latter, with its explosive charge, is designed to maximize damage at a lower muzzle velocity, dealing a comparable amount of destruction while conserving battery power. Both rounds are effective against both personnel and light armored vehicles.
